Description
Finding a genuine T6 with this specification is becoming increasingly difficult.
This is a factory Volkswagen Transporter T6 Kombi with the sought-after 2.0 TDI 140PS engine, 6-speed manual gearbox, 4Motion four-wheel drive, twin sliding doors and tow hook-a rare combination that makes it equally at home as a family vehicle or Adventure Day Van.
I've owned the van since May 2021 and have invested in maintaining and improving it rather than simply modifying it. It has been used for family trips, camping and weekends away and has never let me down.
Unlike many Transporters advertised as day vans, this started life as a genuine Factory Kombi before being professionally converted by Stitches & Steel. Finished with BF Goodrich All-Terrain tyres, alloys, bull bar, LED driving lights and roof bars, it has the rugged Swamper look while retaining all the practicality of the original Kombi.
The Stitches & Steel conversion includes a professionally lined and insulated rear, large under-bed storage system, sleeping platform, roof bars, awning rail, awning and lower arch kit. Additional upgrades professionally fitted by 152 Conversions include swivel front seats, bull bar and LED driving lights.
Mechanically, the van has wanted for nothing and benefits from an excellent documented service history, including:
Cambelt replacement (2020)
Haldex oil change (2020)
New clutch & dual mass flywheel (2021)
Full Service (2022)
Full Service (2024)
Major Service (2024)
Major Service (March 2026)
All supporting invoices and paperwork are included.
It's a 10-year-old van that's been used and enjoyed, not a museum piece. The bodywork & interior have the expected age-related marks, stone chips and a few small dents that come with a well-cared-for vehicle of this age, so please don't expect a concours example.
I'd much rather describe it honestly than waste anyone's time. Mechanically, it's been maintained regardless of cost, drives exactly as it should and is ready for its next adventure.
If you've been looking for the right T6, you'll know it's the underlying specification that matters. The combination of Factory Kombi, Twin Sliding Doors and 4Motion is increasingly hard to find, and this one has been professionally converted and carefully maintained throughout its life.
Reluctantly for sale as we've moved to a full motorhome, meaning the van simply isn't getting the use it deserves. I'd much rather see it being enjoyed by its next owner than sitting on the drive.
