For sale is my lovely blue Jaguar Mk2 240, four speed manual with overdrive. I have owned this car for the last ten years where it has always been stored in my garage. During this time I have done four family proms and two family weddings in it. I don't use it anywhere near enough and now my kids are grown up I feel it needs a new home where somebody else can experience memorable days out just enjoying it. This car is a real eye- catcher and turns many heads while driving down the road. If you are looking for a fully restored concourse condition example then this is not for you. On the other hand, if you are looking for days out in a very solid usable classic that you can tinker with to make little improvements here and there then maybe it could be what you're looking for. When I bought the car from the previous owner, he told me a bit about what he knew of its history. Before him it was owned by a guy who used this car and one other for classic car weddings. He had done a lot of work on the car to get it fit for the job. He fitted a full leather interior, power assisted steering, alternator, electric cooling fan,stainless steel exhaust system and a lovely set of wire wheels. It was rumoured to be fitted with an XJ6 2800 engine, but as the wedding car guy had died before the previous owner bought it, he couldn't confirm this. The guy I bought it from paid to have a full coopercraft brake conversion kit fitted complete with stainless braided brake hoses. I added rear seat belts for taking my kids for days out in the forest. I have taken a lot of photos to give a good impression of the car, but if you have a genuine interest in buying it then come and give it a poke and a prod to judge for yourself.
