Mercedes Benz E200 (W124), 1994, brilliant silver, petrol, automatic with Sportline Trim on original nine hole MB alloys. The car has travelled 146904 miles, has five previous owners and an excellent service history. The body is corrosion free, the paintwork is very good and the interior presents equally well. The original black/grey check Sportline cloth upholstery is unmarked. There are no holes or tears and little sign of wear, including the driver's bolster. The walnut veneer is in excellent condition bar a small crack adjacent to the gear selector. The car features electric windows, mirrors and front seats as well as air conditioning, uncommon in 124s of this vintage, all of which are fully functional. Mechanically the car is in excellent and original condition, bar the installation of an immobiliser for extra security. Everything works as it should; the engine pulls well and the car stops straight. I have had the car serviced regularly including an initial service on purchase in 2023 that included changing all fluids, plugs, HT leads, filters and poly belt. Since then I have replaced the exhaust and cat, water pump, one engine mount, rocker cover gasket and the accelerator cable. Michelin Primacy 4 tyres were fitted under a year ago. The only non-standard item is the radio which I have swapped out for a modern Blaupunkt Bluetooth unit. The car was last MOTed in February of this year, which it passed with no advisories. In fact the car has passed every MOT since 2005 with just one fail for an insecure battery. The car's history is detailed to say the least and runs to two volumes including the original owner's manual, service record, original purchase correspondence and receipt. The original owner sold the car in July 1999 and the file includes a delightful handwritten history of the car and receipt. The original owner lived in Maidenhead and for its entire life the car has been no further than 25 miles away- though one owner regularly took the car to Poland for its annual service! I bought the car as my daily driver in August 2023 at which point it had covered 124,000 miles. This is a quality car that has been properly cared for its entire life and as a result will continue to deliver for many years to come.
