Description
Landed this morning and being offered for sale. This 2009/09 Audi R8 has covered 50858 miles currently. This car gives someone the opportunity to get into a manual R8 with low owners, sensible mileage and lovely spec at the right money.
The car has a lovely spec from new - Daytona Grey metallic with Limestone Grey leather interior. From what I can see it has some factory upgrades and some done later on in life - carbon side blades (these are possibly aftermarket or a wrap, but looks perfect) carbon wing mirrors, black calipers (factory), black Audi badging, upgraded later style front grille, illuminated door sills, engine bay lighting (factory) Pioneer later style head-unit with bluetooth capability etc, Alcantara/leather steering wheel re-cover, I am assuming the rest of the spec is standard R8 stuff!
The car comes with 2 working keys, MOT until September 2026. Supplied new by Audi Edinburgh, this car has a lovely service history throughout, it includes the original service book, the Audi service history certificate plus service invoices from over the years. From what I can see - servicing was done at 17669, 23080, 30475, 36740, 39972, 40006, 41668, 45739, 48363 and most recently at 50408 miles by an independent.
The car has been well looked after over the years, the previous owner had mag ride shockers replaced at 46450 miles, it is sat on Michelin tyres all round, brake discs and pads look healthy, and car drives really well! The car is being sold as it is, I am away as of 8th July to France and not back until late August, so I would rather turn a modest trade profit now and get the car up the road.
Jobs I can see, which I would be doing if we went down the longer road with it, for retail -
- Someone has keyed the car around the back, will attach pictures, it appears to be the rear quarter panels and engine lid, in fairness given the R8 panel design the paint needed isn't a massive area at all, my bodyshop have quoted 600 for this.
- Small scratch on side of bonnet, could be localised, again not a big job, allow 150-200 as a worst case
- MOT due in September, not a big deal but will need doing.
- Car is sat on "like new" Michelin Pilot Sport 4S on the fronts, the rears are older model Michelin (if you were being fussy, you'd put a set of rear boots on it)
The car has a retail value of 38-40k with some small spend done. I've driven the car and it drives 100%, car is now back on SN09 KSX. Please contact me directly to discuss this car, HPI clear.
