Owed by me from new. Rare 1.5TSI engine (was only offered for a year, thereafter all were 1.0TSI), manual, good performance and economy - I averaged 44MPG. Main dealer serviced for first 5 years. Thereafter I have had the following done work done for me: Brake fluid changed Jun-23 (39,000 miles) main dealer Front brake pads changed Jun-25 (45,000 miles) - trusted garage Rear brake pads changed Jun-26 (62,000 miles) - trusted garage I've done the following work myself: 7 x oil & filter changes since Jun-23 (every 4000-5000 miles) - Castrol EDGE LL 5W-30, MANN 712/95 filter. Pollen filter replaced annually - MANN Air filter replaced every 2 years - MANN or Febi Spark plugs replaced Jun-25 (54,000 miles) - Bosch 0 241 145 525 Tyres are all OEM spec - Continental Contisport Contact 5. 215/40 R18 89W extra load. All 4 last replaced Oct-24 (at 48,000 miles) Washed regularly, polished and waxed annually. Kept tidy & clean inside. Kept outside, on driveway. Always allowed the engine oil to get up to 50 degrees at least before using a decent amount of throttle. Always let idle after stopping for a minute or two after long journeys when the oil temp was over 90 degrees. 2 keys Service book, receipts etc kept. Over 62,000 miles and 8 years the only problem I have had (which was fixed by the main dealer) was a flickered interior bulb.
