This car was originally purchased to accommodate our growing family and was the go-to family vehicle for everything and it's been an absolute pleasure. Loads of space and a relaxing high-quality feel and drive. Unfortunately, due to redundancy in 2025 and a job change my commute has reduced to 6 miles and this is no longer the go to family vehicle.
In the interest of being an open and honest advert - I have never had reliability issues with the BMW until about a month ago when it would not start one morning this was due to a low 12v battery voltage - This was a combination of accidentally leaving the ignition on whilst working on the car and a sign that the car really isn't happy with the now incredibly short commute that includes a drop off at nursery.
An overnight trickle charge soon fixed the issue, and I've not had any problems since. I have had the battery health checked and its holding voltage fine but max crank current is reduced. I was advised I would probably need a new battery come winter these are around 200.
This was my wake-up call that it's not happy with the current usage and I would much prefer that the car goes to someone who can properly enjoy it and use it as it's intended hence the sale. I never planned on getting rid of it so soon which is why I have done a lot of the large and expensive maintenance jobs.
Visually the car has some battle scars and few marks and scratches here and there but presents incredibly well considering the age and mileage.
The most noticeable cosmetic damage is on the passenger side doors and rear quarter. Sadly, it was the victim of a nasty keying and the previous owner had a smart repair done that has failed, you can see the dull spots in the pictures were the lacquer has degraded. I did get quotes to have this rectified but to me it wasn't worth the spend ~850. I wanted to focus any money spent on making sure it was mechanically as sound as possible.
This has not got worse during my ownership.
