Description

Exceptional example - 20k+ spent over the last 3 years - Superb mechanical condition I am reluctantly selling my Aston Martin as I have decided I would like to move into a Porsche 993 Carrera/Carrera 4. This is a genuinely exceptional car mechanically, having had around 20,000 spent on it over the last three years, largely addressing the lack of use it had before I purchased it. Major work carried out - November 2023 at 32,278 miles New battery New clutch New starter motor Full service New spark plugs Coolant change New windscreen Total invoice: 15,432.48 Before I collected the car, further work was carried out including: New waterfall dashboard, as the original had started to crack Leather dashboard professionally retrimmed - a common issue on these cars Air conditioning condenser replaced - the air conditioning is now freezing cold Work carried out by myself this year Service at Aston Martin in April, including brake fluid change 4x Continental Sport 7 tyres - still virtually brand new New Porterfield brake discs/pads all round, including handbrake pads And yes, the handbrake actually works, which is apparently quite unusual on these! The car drives beautifully. I drove it from Rayleigh to Bicester yesterday and also took it to the Goodwood Members' Meeting in April, and it performed faultlessly on both occasions. It looks fantastic when clean, with the paintwork appearing more of a grey/silver depending on the light, and it sounds exactly as an Aston Martin should. It also has cruise control, which for some reason is a relatively rare option on these cars. Personally, I think it is a fantastic feature and almost essential on a GT like this. The only negative There is really only one area I would address if you wanted the car to be absolutely perfect: the paintwork on the rear arches has some stone-chip damage and would benefit from being repaired. I have had this quoted at 720. I am more than happy to have this work carried out for the new owner, or alternatively I am happy to deduct the cost from the asking price. If the car is going to be used regularly, personally I wouldn't rush to have it done - but the option is there. Viewing / inspection I am happy to arrange a new MOT at the purchaser's expense if required. The car is currently fully taxed and insured for my own use, so I am happy to arrange a test drive for genuinely interested buyers.
