Selling my lovely i8 after 3+ years of trouble free/economic motoring. I bought this car from a dealer in the South and whilst I had done my research I really wasn't sure what to expect in terms of economy, performance and maintenance/servicing. I have to say I was hugely impressed. We have both normal and off peak electricity so I charge the car overnight for absolute buttons which gives me between 10 and 17 miles depending on the weather. Winter time generally gives around 10...but the best I've had is 18m when the temperature outside is just right. This gets me around town and if the engine is required it is absolutely seamless the way they integrate. You an even charge as you drive....truly amazing. Even when the battery is depleted, the car is fantastically economic due to the tiny 1.5L Mini Cooper engine and if you want to push it...it is extremely quick. Great 4WD in slippery/icy conditions. So easy to drive (basically like a 3 series) and everything inside is perfectly laid out. In the years I've owned it I've only done 4000-5000 miles per year..a few road trips but mostly in and around the North East. As a 2017 car it was exempt from road tax until last year, now it is 20.00/year..which I now laughably pay. It is fitted with a Ghost Immobiliser for peace of mind (4 dashboard buttons in the right order to start the car) and has front and rear dash cam with remote SIM access. (you will need a new SIM - I pay 3.99/m). The car has a full BMW Service History from Vertu BMW Boldon and currently has a 2 year warranty with it which has a 3,000 claim limit, per claim, for extra peace of mind. Can be sold without if required if you prefer to get your own. Comes with 2 keys and 13A charger. Be prepared for lots of admiring looks, questions from random strangers and kids. I've even had elderly women say to me 'lovely car that son'!! Only 60,000 miles and when you think about it, that's probably half electric motor and half engine...so barely run in...
