Description
Trott's car! If you want the right car combined with full factory service history, this is the one! Nicely run-in BMW V8 manual for a bargain price compared with a new non-V8 Morgan. I was patient and fortunate to find this car. You will not find better! Great car for the European tour or Revival.
Direct sale by the factory to a commission by Morgan enthusiast Colin Trott, an extremely special car known by the Morgan Sports Car Club. The aluminium chassis beams, bulkhead and engine bay were factory polished and detailed during build. Official factory photo book and a CD of over 100 of Colin's own factory build and studio photos of the car which won concours awards. I believe the factory borrowed the car for show purposes.
Metallic two-tone BMW Mauritius Blue and Zambezi Silver paintwork. 'Defendall' paint protection film, Yarwood Blue diamond-quilted leather piped in grey. Quick-action Navy mohair hood, natural ash wood trim, the sizeable S3 boot and good storage area behind the seats.
Bonded aluminium chassis and body with the desirable manual 6-speed gearbox and optional 4-pipe exhaust. AP Racing brakes, ABS, aircon, airbags, electric windows, heated screen, PAS, cruise control, Blaupunkt Radio/CD, stainless bonnet stays, door pockets, oddments tray, parking sensors. Recent Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric tyres, brand new Bosch Silver S5 battery, 2 sets of keys, handbook, original brochure. Morgan works service history and a fresh comprehensive Morgan factory service just completed prior to sale with 12 months MOT.
Described by Dixon Smith and Mark Baldwin during a Morgan factory visit as the "Best Aero 8 ever!" this is the car featured in the Aero 8 chapter of Michael Scarlett's 'Morgan Plus 8' book as a double page 100/101 and also on pages 116 to 118. A real head turner! More admiration and respect than just about any other supercar or hypercar.
When Colin Trott passed away in 2009 the car was sold to Lady Grace Helen Martin from whom I purchased via Allon White in July 2010. 325 bhp V8 and a weight of 1145 kg provides Cobra performance in a much more usable package, the most practical Morgan ever, still a proper sports car.
Morgan Aeromax and Coupe prices are escalating. The S3 has a similar specification with the added versatility of a quick-action convertible hood and more practical luggage space. More 'butch' and much less than half the price of an Aeromax the S3 will significantly increase in value.
