Pros: - Engine runs smoothly. - Gearbox was professionally reconditioned in November 2023, at the same time as a new clutch and dual-mass flywheel were fitted. - Timing belt replaced in October 2023. - Passed its last MOT with no issues. - Mechanically, the engine, gearbox and clutch are all strong and drive very well. Cons: - Insurance write-off (recorded). - Central locking is intermittent. - Glovebox was removed to grease the cabin fan and just needs refitting (all parts are included). - Nearside front suspension (coil/shock area) has developed a knock, and warning lights appeared when the noise started. It could be something as simple as a wheel speed sensor, but I haven't investigated. - Dent on the offside rear quarter panel from a hit-and-run. - Lens missing from the nearside rear indicator, although I have a good used replacement included. - Seatbelt warning sensor is intermittent. - Cosmetically, it's showing the usual age-related wear and tear and isn't a show car. Overall, this would make an ideal project, cheap runabout or source of good mechanical parts. Despite the cosmetic issues, the engine, gearbox and clutch are in very good condition.
