I've owned this car for 11 years and it has been very reliable overall. The only ongoing problem has been the DPF system, which is common on these Qashqais and is the reason for selling. The DPF has recently been chemically cleaned and has had three forced regenerations. It's driving fine at the moment, but over the past year the exhaust has developed a noticeable smell and will occasionally produce white smoke likely from a regeneration attempt or a possible injector issue. We've spent over 1,000 on it this year. It has a valid MOT and runs, but it would suit someone familiar with DPF systems who can get it back to being reliable for longer journeys. The stereo needs its code and the CD player no longer works.
