Peugeot RCZ 2.0 HDi Diesel - 2012 - 176,000 miles - French flair, British honesty! Oldie but goodie - and quite possibly the best-looking car you'll find at this sort of money! Here's the honest advert for my 2012 Peugeot RCZ 2.0 HDi diesel, with 176,000 miles on the clock. Yes, it's got mileage. Yes, it's a Cat S. Yes, it has a few electrical gremlins and some battle scars. But before you run screaming for the hills read on! This is a cracking-looking car that still drives extremely well and has had a fair chunk of money spent on it recently, including: * DPF professionally cleaned * DPF additive/particulate filter fluid attended to * Battery management system/box replaced * Recent batteries * Four good tyres, with the fronts nearly new * Air conditioning works * Recently MOT'd - expires Feb27 * And most importantly, it has returned an absolutely ridiculous 46 MPG over the last 3,500 miles - and that's with me driving it like I've just robbed a bank! Drive it sensibly and I reckon there's plenty more economy to be had. The honest bit It's a Cat S following a previous bump to the rear. The damage was relatively minor and primarily affected the alignment of the boot aperture. It passed its MOT without issue. There are some scratches, bumps and general signs of age, plus a few electrical gremlins here and there. Nothing I'm going to pretend isn't there. There is also a crack in the windscreen, which is outside the driver's direct field of vision. So no, this isn't a pristine, low-mileage garage queen. It's a 12-year-old RCZ with 176k on its boots that needs a little love and attention. But that's precisely why it's priced very competitively. If you're after a cheap, economical diesel that looks like something costing considerably more, has loads of character, drives well and you're happy to give it some TLC, this could be right up your street. It isn't perfect. It doesn't pretend to be. But it's an RCZ, it still looks bloody brilliant, and it costs considerably less than the average one. Ideal for someone who knows their way around cars, wants a project/cheap daily, or simply fancies turning up at the pub in something that looks like a 20k sports car.
