I've owned this Skoda Octavia 1.4 TSI hatchback for over 9 years. It has never let me down and is only for sale as it's getting long in the tooth for me. The SE Plus standard spec includes sat-nav, which can easily be updated with new maps using readily available SD cards. It is currently on VW navigation V12 maps. I had Skoda's cruise control fitted as that was not a factory fitted option on this model. I have maintained this myself over the years and have kept a log and receipts. Generally this is limited to service items and consumables (e.g. fluids, filters, tyres, brakes) and some other items more like preventive maintenance, e.g. I replaced the thermostat unit earlier this year as it seemed to taking a while to get some heat in the cabin. Oil and filter service done in April 2026, tyres were replaced all round in late 2025 (4-5000 miles on them). Current MoT is valid until late November. I had the wheels powder coated some years ago, but they're not looking so good in places. There is some rust bubbling through on the driver's side rear wheel arch. The interior is in great condition, with no rips or tears to the fabrics or carpets. Smoke-free and pet-free home. Carpet mats throughout. All the switchgear works as it should. Under trays are present. The 1.4 TSI unit is powerful enough in this car to cope with a decent load, and the Octavia is well known for its space. I've got an average 42 mpg out of it and still get mid to high 40s on a motorway run, which is about what I used to get from diesels, but without the added fuel cost and mess of diesel. If you're not doing a lot of miles, or are doing a lot of short runs, this makes a better proposition than the diesel motors.
