This is a VW Mk5 GTI in good mechanical condition, lots of recent maintenance and a long MOT. I have owned this car since March 2022 and intended to keep it until I decided on buying an estate. THE GOOD BITS: Service history; lots of maintenance done with receipts, including, regular oil and filters, tyres are good, brakes are in good condition with no seized pistons, new bushings, new tie rods, new valve cover gasket, new high pressure fuel pump. In my time it has had three cam followers, two new sets of spark plugs and a new set of genuine R8 coilovers. Cams look perfect and timing belt was completed 20k miles ago. I have installed a new headlining (it was sagging). Recent four wheel alignment, completed with MOT which runs through to May 2027. Lots of new sensors and filters; PCV, diverter valve, fuel filter, N75, MAF... THE AGE RELATED BITS: Not cosmetically perfect; could do with wheel refurbs, there are minor paint chips and other cosmetic blemishes. The rear badge (boot release) is temperamental and there is a clip missing from the boot lid panel (I may get around to fixing these before the sale) THE OTHER BITS: It has been lowered on Bilstein coilovers, has a titanium exhaust and an air intake. It drives well, with no mechanical noises of concern. It is quick when you want it to be, but efficient when you need it to be. It has a head unit with Android Auto and an Android verion of CarPlay, so music and navigation are bluetooth. Viewing is welcome and I am open to sensible offers.
