Description
Subaru Forester 2 litre diesel. This is a really solid workhorse, or would make a brilliant second car for winter conditions. It has been my daily drive for eight years. Selling because I needed a ULEZ compliant vehicle, so a new purchase means this car is no longer being driven.
Good points:
* 2 keys and V5 in my name since 2018.
* Completely clean MOT 1500 miles ago. Will be given a fresh MOT this week, ready for sale.
* Yokohama Geolandar G95 tyres with 5-6mm tread left. These are the same type of tyres as Foresters come with from new, and give excellent handling and performance.
* Boxer diesel engine with timing chain.
* Stacks of service and repair paperwork.
* New clutch in 2024
* New front discs and pads plus rear springs 3600 miles ago.
Additions:
* Spare set of alloy wheels and winter tyres included (Goodyear Ultragrip Performance with 3-4mm of tread left)
* DAB digital radio with reversing camera and Bluetooth connectivity. (I still have the old stereo too, if desired)
* Forward-facing dashcam.
* Rubber floor mat and fitted boot mat
* Phone holder with wireless charging.
* Towbar
Bad points:
* Can sometimes have a slight engine judder when under load (e.g. up a steep hill on a motorway). My garage have said they suspect this is a misfire caused by a sticking injector, but this is not confirmed because the twice I've had it in to them, they haven't been able to reproduce the fault!
* Rear passenger door has been resprayed, and is noticeable if you look closely.
* hole in rear headlight cover.
* Minor paintwork scratches, but paintwork generally good for this age of car. No significant chips, dings or dents.
* Very small windscreen chip, but near rear view mirror so not distracting when driving.
