Here's Yoda. Wing back seats, extra leather bits, wind deflector. Mechanically great. Cosmetically, less so!!! No rust, just paint looking tired and ready for sprucing up. Everything works. All the goodness: - No oil leaks or bad engine noises. Runs smooth and ticks over without lumps and stutters. Pulls well and seems to have most of the 204 original horses engaged - the 5 speed gearbox is smooth with no crunching or juddering, gliding nicely between gears. The gearstick doesn't centre as well as it should due to a lazy spring but it isn't sloppy or flapping around like a dead meerkat in the desert winds - new BC Racing coilovers and all the suspension arms on each corner, drop links, top mounts, springs and struts have been replaced within the last 1000 miles or so. It also had a 4-wheel alignment and handles steers better than you'd expect, with lots of feel. It can be lowered / stiffened up with the fully adjustable coilovers - tyres are all good, lots of tread. Goodyear Eagle F1's (I know you were wondering); covered about 1000 miles - brake callipers all rebuilt with new internal seals, bleed nips, pins etc. Also new discs and pads all round. Goodrich braided hoses and a new oem steel front brake line fitted at great effort and much swearing across the back of the tub too - new rads, new rad mounts, burp valve, expansion tank cap - new battery, new bonnet and boot gas struts, and has full toolkit, spare wheel, etc. - oem CD changer still there with the magazine but a different head unit so I've never tested it or powered it up - later 986.2 rear lights (I also have the original amber ones undamaged) - new under trays (not yet fitted - time and effort related) Setting expectations: - front bumper resprayed (looks good), bonnet resprayed (by a monkey - no, not me), rear passenger quarter resprayed (a good finish, and in a colour very similar to the door and fairly close to the boot lid / roof cover) - wheels need refurbing due to old paint and age, but not buckled or damaged - paint on the callipers falling off - painted by an ape (yes, me) badly - standard exhaust back box is holding together. No leaks, but the seams are getting crusty. I do have a Toyo Sport back box if you want to go deaf and/or mad - the paint isn't falling off, but plenty of surface scratches (not down to metal - some would likely machine polish out, a lot won't). A few stone chips and car park dings on the doors - roof good, window cracked Give Yoda a happy ending!
