My much loved Volkswagen Golf is up for sale. This has been a brilliant car to own and has never let me down. The only reason I'm selling is because I now need an automatic. If I didn't, I'd genuinely be keeping it. The car has covered 148,000 miles, which may increase slightly as it's still in occasional use, although I work remotely so this won't increase by much. I've always kept on top of maintenance and replaced anything the car has needed rather than putting jobs off. Recent maintenance includes; New AGM battery professionally coded and fitted. Four tyres recently replaced with excellent tread. Replacement suspension spring and top mount. Recent inspection confirmed the alternator and starter motor are both in excellent working order. Timing belt previously replaced, with the replacement date marked on the belt. It has recently been inspected by my garage, who confirmed it is in excellent condition and does not currently require replacement. A fresh service will be completed before sale. The car has a comprehensive service history, with only one service missed during my ownership. Mechanically, the car is spot on and drives exactly as it should. It starts first time every time, pulls well through all the gears and has been an extremely reliable car. As expected for a 13 year old car, there are a few age related cosmetic marks, including a couple of small dents and some paint peeling on the rear. These are purely cosmetic and do not affect the way the car drives. This has been a genuinely dependable car that has never let me down. It has been maintained properly throughout my ownership and is only being sold because I now need an automatic.
