Description
Originally ordered for the Chairman of Flowcrete Plc, this 750i spent the first few years of its life under Flowcrete's fleet management. There's little doubt it would have been maintained regardless of cost. As this was one of the first BMW models to store its service history on the key rather than in a service book, there isn't much early paperwork. However, I've had the BMW dealer display the service history held on BMW's systems, which shows all the correct servicing has been done.
Performance is one of this car's real strengths. The 4.8-litre V8 produces 364bhp, giving 0-60mph in 5.8 seconds, making it genuinely quick even by modern standards. It also has BMW's Dynamic Drive hydraulic active anti-roll system, which keeps the car flat through corners while still providing an exceptionally comfortable ride the rest of the time. It's a very nice feeling when driving it knowing the car is actively levelling itself as you're cornering.
I also had an upgraded stereo fitted. It piggybacks onto the original BMW system, so all the factory functions remain available through the new touchscreen. It has Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, Google Maps and effectively gives you two independent satellite navigation systems, alongside the original BMW navigation. The original stereo will be included in case you want to change it back.
Being a Sport model, it comes with the sport wheels, sport seats and sport steering wheel, along with soft-close doors and Shadowline exterior trim, replacing much of the chrome with black. It also has genuine factory BMW "angel eye" lights plus xenon headlights.
As a 55-plate, it benefits from the lower road tax band, which is a significant advantage over later cars. It's also from what many consider the sweet spot for the E65/E66 - late enough to have the facelift styling without the original "Bangle bum", but early enough to qualify for the cheaper tax.
During my 14 months and 14k miles of ownership I've kept every invoice, spending just over three thousand on maintenance and upkeep. A breakdown of this expenditure is included in the advert photos. The car has also had its wheels professionally refurbished, is fitted with matching Dunlop tyres with good tread remaining, and comes complete with the full BMW toolkit and the original glovebox torch. New 5 year battery fitted last month.
This was a hi spec car when new, it has far more equipment than is practical to list individually, but it has everything you'd expect.
