Description

2004 MG TF 135 80th Anniversary Edition For sale, my 80th Anniversary TF 135 1.8 in Goodwood Green. The 80th Anniversary got a real wood steering wheel, handbrake and gear knob, 1924-2004 logo embroidered in the seats and lettering on the bootlid, plus 4 pot AP Racing front brake callipers and larger brake discs. I have enjoyed my time with this car for over 6 years, and am only selling due to inheriting another car, I just don't have time and space for this as well. We have just come back from a 1500 mile trip around Northern Spain and the French Basque country, where the car was absolutely faultless. I've been planning that trip for a couple of years, so now it's done it's time for someone else to enjoy it. It's been a great Winter project and Summer drive. I am a member of the MG Owners Club so the car has been on many club runs around Yorkshire and Derbyshire, as well as on holiday to the Scottish Highlands and the Lake District. It's been to Pride of Longbride twice, MGF 25, MGF 30 and many other events. The car was in great condition when I bought it from another MGOC member, and had then covered only 24k miles, but I've since continued to improve it while enjoying my 12k miles, so it now stands at 36k. The car has excellent service history. Before my ownership this was mainly carried out by garages. I've largely serviced the car myself, but I've kept receipts and records for everything. Work & upgrades completed in my ownership: 'Soft ride' suspension fitted. This isn't 'soft' but is the updated setup made for the short-lived 2005 model year, and is just that bit more compliant on rough British roads. 2x cam belt & water pump changes in line with 4 year intervals (first by Rough Luck Racing, second by KD MOT in Derby - those in MG Rover circles will know both of these!). Refurb and repaint front brake calipers, replace slider pins and bleed nipples. Braided brake flexis all round. New discs and pads all round. Front discs are MTEC drilled and grooved. Stainless steel underfloor coolant pipes fitted. Stainless steel sports exhaust fitted with poly bush mounts and new hangers. KMAPS remapped ECU fitted (supplied by Retro Sports Cars, Brighouse - another name familiar in MG Rover circles). New front wishbones and track rod ends. Mike Satur stainless door hinge pins fitted - these stop the doors sagging and rattling. Mike Satur stainless MG wheel nuts fitted. Under-bonnet plastic cover replaced with MG embossed version from TF LE500. + etc etc
