Description

It's with much regret that I have decided to sell my much loved SC. I bought it as a retirement treat three years ago, and fully intended to keep it, but circumstances have changed and I'd like it to find a good home. I spent quite a lot of time when choosing this car, in particular I was looking for a Metalic Red ULEZ compliant facelift model but with the lower tax- about 300 pounds a year cheaper than the post-April '06 cars, and I wasn't concerned about mileage as I wanted a car to use daily. The cars not a "pristine" example, and I wouldn't describe it as "mint condition", but that said it's a really sound example and Lexus- who have serviced the car since new- tell me it's in "excellent condition for a 20 year old car ". So, it's got the Full Lexus Service history- the previous owner even had it on a Lexus service contract- so everything that ever needed doing was done as it should be. Cambelt was changed a year or so before I bought it and is documented on Lexus car history. I've spent thousands on it in my ownership, including New half wiring loom- (squirrel damage) New radiator New front roof seal Rust repair of wheel arch and full Lanoguard underbody treatment two years ago. The Roof was bubbling where they often do- something to do with the aluminium (?) and resprayed but the colour match is slightly visible in certain light. There are no warning lights on- not even theVSC (lol) The paint work is in pretty good condition but the bonnet especially is showing a few cracks, chips and marks. The leather interior is in pretty good shape but again not perfect. The car runs smoothly and has given me no problems in my time of owning, as does the roof mechanism. It has four Michelin tyres I put on a year ago (to do the Stelvio Path road trip ) and there's plenty of tread remaining. Two keys, and everything works as it should, although the drivers seat heating requires a new heat pad so you'd need a seat specialist to do that. Just had the rear screen heater repaired and checked, and a new front brake caliper and discs. Ideally this car would benefit from an enthusiast who could carry out basic maintenance themselves, as it's not been cheap using Lexus. So overall, a sound and excellent condition car and I bit of a bargain for someone I feel.
