Description
Owned this stunning 1990 Japanese Import Miata for 5 years. Automatic transmission. No advisories last couple of MOTs. Never been welded, no rust. Recently under-sealed. Very good low miles example. Very likely a classic car now. In my ownership I have had the car resprayed as it was looking a bit tired when I got it. Kept the British Racing Green. Also added a hard top also in British Racing Green. New Tein suspension that lowers the car a touch, but subtle (not slammed!) as I still need to drive over speed bumps! This has been a weekend car only, never used for commuting. Drove to Cornwall recently, never missed a beat (200 mile round trip) and is a delight to drive. Starts every time and regular services, oil changes etc. Sometimes not driven for five or six weeks then turn the key and off she goes, never fails. Wheels are Ray's Engineering split rims, recently refurbished. Plenty of tread on all four tires. Lots of receipts for maintenance. It's been a bit of a hobby! But the time has come to pass it along. I need the driveway for a larger caravan and hardly drive the MX5 so its up for sale. The beige plastic soft top has seen better days, but as I use the hard top, its easy to remove, pop back on, I haven't bothered to replace the soft top. Mechanically, the car is really well looked after. No bangs or clunks, and it drives superbly. The driver seat is ripped at the seem, so I use a seat cushion, (see photos) and I had previously covered the rip on the seem of the seat with some faux leather - this was a mistake in hindsight so I cover it with the seat cover! Other than this, nothing to report - it look lovely, easy to drive, only ever filled her up with E5 fuel (apparently this is a good move but if I am honest, I am not convinced!). Fitted my own immobiliser as the factory one was hit and miss when I bought the car, the new one is a fob operated battery cut out switch. Very simple and reliable. JVC BlueTooth / Phone connected etc stereo and after market speakers in the doors. Two keys, a tonne of paperwork and V5 etc. Sad to see this car go but needs must. Viewing on my driveway in Glastonbury Somerset. Test drive with proof of insurance, otherwise I can take you for a spin. Mechanics inspection welcome. No time wasters please. I am not in a rush to sell. Oh and the private plate (I think it's worth around 700) comes with this car, I won't be keeping the private plate).
