This is a completely standard, unmodified example that has been maintained properly throughout its life. Thousands of pounds have been spent on it by both myself and the previous owner, including around 2,500 during my ownership alone. The private registration is included in the sale and is believed to be worth approximately 1,000. It has clearly been looked after rather than modified, abused or maintained on a budget. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find low-mileage, original RS200s in this condition. The car has never seen a track. Condition The interior and mechanical condition are very good for the age. The bodywork does have some general age-related marks, as expected on a 16-year-old car, but there is no rust. For complete transparency, the following points are worth mentioning: * A few minor interior rattles over rough roads, as is common with cars of this age * The paint on the rear boot lip is mottled. It appears that a previous owner fitted a boot-lip protector and the adhesive affected the clear coat when it was removed * The headlights are beginning to mist slightly and would benefit from a polish * When started from completely cold, the car can occasionally hesitate or kangaroo slightly and has a flat spot between approximately 1, 500 and 2, 500 rpm. This is a widely documented characteristic that some RS200s develop, I would suggest researching before purchasing. I have described the car as honestly as possible, but overall it is an exceptionally solid, well-maintained and low-mileage example that has had a significant amount of money spent on it.
