Description
About the car, It's a Cat N, I bought it from Copart. It had a snapped steering control arm, and a bunch of lights on the dash. Things still to do, it's missing a parcel shelf. One of the covers on the rear interior B pillar covers is scuffed. The dashboard on the passenger side looks like a child has dug it's nails into it, and it's also scuffed. The adjustable steering column button isn't working. Something has been spilt in the fridge and has stained the inside. These are all things that you do not notice when driving the car. I'm just pointing them out.
Work carried out:
The steering control arm has been replaced with a genuine item.
O/S rear calliper (non genuine).
Full set of drilled and grooved discs.
Full set of brake pads.
All diffs, gearbox and engine oil change.
Gearbox software updated.
Centre diff software updated and upgraded oil change. (Was clunking, if you know, you know)
Water pump.
All filters, inc cabin.
All plastic coolant pipes inside the engine.
Both rocker cover gaskets.
New plenum chamber hoses.
Aircon re-gassed.
New key. (2 keys)
New jack.
New fuel lock release tool.
Led rear light upgrade.
New main battery.
New auxiliary battery.
MOT due 19/11/2026 (Will put 12mths MOT on receipt of a two hundred pound holding deposit)
It's ready to go, it drives perfect, all three suspension settings work (as seen in photos), there is the odd mark here and there, but it is 11yrs old and is more than presentable. The off road settings all work etc etc. It's got heated and cooled seats, Pan Roofit's an autobiography. There are no lights on the dash, it will make a good car for someone. If you could get off roading parts for it, I would keep it and use it to go greenlaning.
Conclusion:
What your buying is a, mechanically sorted car, that needs a few cosmetics to sort out to make it perfect. It's press the start button and go ready. No low ball offers because it's a Cat N. Everything that needed doing to make the car reliable has been done. It returned 36MPG on a run to Scotland, and it's averaging 27 around town. It is not mint, but it is very clean for the year, the freshly powder coated 22" wheels really set it off. Your more than welcome to come and look at it, show proof of insurance and funds, and you can drive it. Inspection welcome.
