I have decided to part with my Golf Clipper cabriolet. The car is a real time warp a sit has been off the road since 2005 during which time it has undergone a light refurbishment. The recaro seats have been re-trimmed,a new mohair hood fitted,various mechanical work done. The car was MOT tested in 2024 and passed with no advisorys and has only been started and driven a few miles on private roads since. The car has been stored in a warm bone dry garage for 21 years and is in exceptional condition it has never needed any welding and is matching number original (the problematical pierburg carb has been replaced with a new weber manual choke conversion). The car starts and drives very well with no issues. The car has no mot atm but I will get it done before sale completion . A Mk1 cabriolet in this condition is very rare so only serious offers will be considered.
