Description

2010 Porsche 987.2 2.9 Manual | Enthusiast Owned | 5,000k spent on things you probably don't want to be spending on Why buy this one? Aside from the expensive stuff you're going to want done has been done. I bought this car while restoring a 73 911, so really reliability and avoiding surprises were at the top of my list. If you are comparing this to other examples on the market, factor in the major wear and tear items, this car has just had over 5,250 spent on it, clutch, pads and discs, refurbed wheels with N rated Pilot Sports with tons of tread left. Why a 987.2 I specifically got a 987.2 to avoid the IMS bearing worries of the previous generation, and deliberately chose the 2.9 litre engine to avoid the thinner cylinder walls and bore scoring risks associated with the 3.4. Also wanted a manual gearbox. While the PDK might be a fraction of a second faster to 60mph, if you're going to drive then drive. For me manual is the answer, I've got an auto day to day car. Maintenance The car has covered 88.5k miles and comes with 11 months MOT (zero advisories). At 85,000 miles:Exchanged and replaced all four wheels with like for like refurbished alloys, wrapped in N-rated Michelin Pilot Sports (1,500). The wheels remain entirely unscuffed. At 83,800 miles: Brand new brake pads (Pagid) and discs (Porsche)all round, new hard brake lines, brake fluid, coffin arms, and alignment (1,250). At 82,000 miles: Serviced with new oil and filter, auxiliary belt, and spark plugs (500). At 71,000 miles: Brand new clutch and slave cylinder fitted (2,000). Other Extras: Full wind deflector kit, both headrests and the perspex in between Heated seats Porsche embossed headrests on the leather seats Rear parking sensors Considering condition and work priced competitively for a well sorted Boxster.
