Description
Rare find. I purchased the car from a wealthy couple who where getting rid of a few classics they had collected. Full service history, break pads & calipers replaced for new OEM, new air filters, fresh pilot sport tyre's, swirl flap delete. All work was completed by garage in Norfolk (PMP auto services) that handled the couples car collection. I can make the connection for you if you have some more technical questions.
Paint is original and really cleans up well, there are signs of wear, small chips, few scuffs on the offside. All reasonable wear for a 24 year old car.
grey leather interior, maybe my favorite feature, really compliments the classic black BMW components and blue exterior. both front seats are heated, air con works, radio works.
The car runs like a dream. This is the first car I have personally owned but through my career I have had the pleasure of driving many different vehicles, vans, coupes, estates from all the big names. This was my private car to take out and enjoy I can say with confidence It delivered. They built these vehicles to a much higher standard back in the naughties, it feels planted and sporty but still economical and safe. The gear box is smooth, the steering is direct, It truly drives like a classic BMW should.
Draw backs. The OEM CD player does not work, I suspect its an issue in the actual CD reader. From what I have looked at it can be repaired or replaced for relatively cheap.
There are signs of wear inside, leather on the driver seat is coming away from the padding in a small area (can be glues of stapled back in place) no rips or tears or stains to note. The front console is 80% immaculate, the coin draw and handle area's have scratches but for its age its still exceptionally clean.
