Description
We're reluctantly selling our Ford Tourneo Custom after several great years of ownership. It has mainly been used as a family vehicle for holidays and weekend camping trips, but the kids have grown up and we simply don't need an 8-seater anymore. It's now mostly sitting on the driveway, which really is a shame.
The van has 84,854 miles, full service history, 4 good tyres and good brakes. It's clean, has been well looked after and is mechanically sound. We regularly serviced it at RGR Ford. We've just returned from a 3,500-mile European road trip, and it performed brilliantly throughout. It really is an excellent vehicle for long-distance travel and family trips but it can be surprisingly nimble for town drives as well.
The last Ford inspection was carried out at the end of June. I'm happy to share the video from the inspection where the technician talks through the vehicle and confirms that it is in excellent overall condition.
It has plenty of useful equipment, including a reverse camera, cruise control, dual-zone air conditioning for front and rear, heated windscreen, hands free bluetooth, front and rear parking sensors, heated front seats and curtains for the sliding-door windows. There is also a rail system fitted inside the vehicle, which we believe may have previously been used for mobility access, although we cannot confirm its original purpose.
To be completely transparent, there are some cosmetic issues, and the price reflects these. The bonnet has a couple of fairly noticeable stone chips which were already there when we bought the van; we have used a bonnet bra to cover/protect this area, as shown in the photos. There is also a scratch above one of the right wheel arch caused by the inner plastic section of the door. The rear/trunk area has some scuffs and scratches, which we have covered with Gorilla Tape. These are cosmetic issues only and don't affect the mechanical condition of the vehicle.
Other than the above, we're not aware of any faults. The van is mechanically sound and has plenty of life left in it.
Sold as seen. I'm happy to take the van for an independent inspection at the buyer's cost. I'd rather be completely upfront about its condition so there are no surprises. Van will come with a fresh MOT.
A genuinely reluctant sale, but with the kids grown up, we just can't justify keeping an 8-seater sitting on the driveway.
