It is with a heavy heart I am selling my Lotus Elise S1. I bought this 10 years ago and I have had many happy drives In it feeling connected to the road & its nippiness & low to the ground stance. I have done much to this car since I got it like Cylinder head overhaul (ground in valves new valve stem oil seals 5 layer upgraded cylinder head gasket) all bushes replaced with standard bushes as I personally never tracked this car ball joints replaced steering rack replaced It did have GAZ adjustable shocks fitted but was too hard for road driving so was replaced with bilstein shocks softer ride Interior seats & door cards were redone with alcantara (In pics) Although original speakers are still fitted they have been upgraded with Vibe speakers behind the seats (much better sound) Vibe speakers are mounted onto a separate wood panelling and recovered with matching carpet like material (in pic) I have also fitted a quick release steering wheel for easier access (I do have the original steering wheel) Front headlights have had an upgrade to LED as the standard headlights were like candles at night with very poor lighting (I have the old headlights too but a little rusty on the inside) personally I have not done too many miles in this car as I keep it in a garage and only took it out on sunny days It had a K&N Hurricane filter fitted (I still have it) but I put original air filter & box back on It has a private reg plate on but it is not shown but it is 1998 model when I bought it it had just had a full professional respray & I have tried to keep it as good as the day I bought it (see pics) Now if anyone who is interested in this car it has EVANS waterless coolant which is better for older cars as it has a much higher boiling point to water and doesn't rust inside the engine or water pump or builds up pressure causing burst hoses (look up EVANS WATERLESS COOLANT It will explain it better) I never got any history with this car when I bought it so the history I have is what I have done I also fitted an isolator connection to it in case of prolonged garage parkups as this usually drains the battery because of lack of use I also have a shower cap for it (no not that you can take the car INTO the shower) as I have explained I have done much to this car I loved going into my garage just to tinker. Although it has high mileage has been lovingly taken care of by myself & it is with a heavy heart I am selling It Timing belt & pump done when cylinder head was done
