If you are looking for a car with patina, this isnt it! Essentially, it is a new 60 year old car --- Matching chassis / body numbers, from the ground up it has been professionally refurbished by The Wonkey Donkey Emporium (full photo documentation available), with some extra work done since I acquired it by Beetlelink. --- In total, including the 1966/67 'unicorn' donor car, there are invoices for just under 45k - this isn't 45k spent over 60 years that is just the cost spent on the refurb to make it 'new' in the last 2 years - the parts alone cost more than asking price for the car today, so you are essentially getting the labour / respray for free - The donor was handpicked in Feb 2024 by Wonkey Donkey and then underwent a complete strip down, with parts stripped, protected and re sprayed over the next 16 months. The Paintwork is a green bronze, in a satin finish --- It comes with 2 full sets of wheels, the Fuchs replicas and Fumigali, which gives the car a very different look --- It was put back together with new stainless nuts / bolts, replacement seals / hoses / clips / etc, retaining as much of the original chrome work as possible. --- The chassis is a particular feature, stripped and primed, stone chipped and then finished in gloss black. Engine metalwork has been stripped and painted. --- The list in the photos show the major parts that were refitted (either new or refurbished) and I struggle to see what has been left to replace --- Internally, the chairs have been re-trimmed in Westfalia fabric with a new headliner. --- The car comes with a file of 'random' paperwork back to 2013, plus the original V5 (R.F. 60). --- As with any car classic car, there are always things to do - If you are interested, come and take a look - - - I have loads of photos of the rebuild .
