******** This BMW X5 is 11 years old – but you simply wouldn't believe it. Put it alongside many 2 or 3-year-old vehicles and I genuinely believe it would stand its ground. The condition throughout is fantastic. The bodywork is superb, with no major dents, scuffs or scratches. The alloy wheels are free from corrosion, while the interior shows no excessive wear and is completely odour-free. Underneath is equally impressive. Coming from Japan, where road salt is not used in many regions, the underbody has been beautifully preserved. And before anyone asks – yes, these vehicles are protected from the factory. The idea that Japanese imports aren't protected underneath is just one of the many myths surrounding imported vehicles. It's also important to point out that this is a European-specification BMW, not what many people think of as a traditional Japanese-market "grey import".
