The T6.1, 2024 Volkswagen California Ocean is a high spec luxury 4-berth campervan featuring an electro-hydraulic pop-up roof with compfortable spring base mattress, a full kitchen setup with a two burner gas hob, sink, tap, fridge, ambient lighting, front and rear adjustable aircon, swivelling heated front seats, sink with water and waste tanks and a 2.0L TDI diesel engine with DSG automatic transmission which is a real pleasure to drive as a daily commute or on a long journey. Wireless car play makes it seemless and the integrated sat nav on the drivers screen is useful when there is no signal. The California Ocean has a 5-inch touch control unit to manage all the camping functions including fresh and wastewater levels, interior lighting, auxiliary heating, refrigerator status, and power supply. There are two lesure batteries for about 3 days of power off grid. Its big enough to live in but small enough to fit under height restricitons and go down small roads on holiday. There is a tow bar and high quality four bike rack as as well as a wind out awaning and Reimo rails on both sides to attach a tent if you wish. There are also roof rails. The blinds are all integrated and slide out easily and neatly. When the roof is up the windows unzip with mesh to keep the van cool and the flies out, the font can unzip fully as well if you want to admire the view. There is a slide out fixed table inside that fits neatly between the pull out bed and the fridge, as well as a table that is stowed in the sliding door that can be used outside under the sun shade with the fold out chairs that are zipped into the tailgate. We purchased the three walls that zip and slide onto the wind out shade to make a room and can sell these also. The rails add flexibilty to move the bed / seats forward if you want more storage at the rear, perhaps if carrying an awning tent to attach for a longer stay. There are two sets of key and a remote for the diesel heater so you can warm the van in the morning from the house or from in bed in the van. It was bought from a dealer just over a year ago and I paid for upholstery protection, it has full service history that has been carried out at the VW dealership.
