Description
2007 Mazda 6, 148,903 miles, being sold as spares or repair following a failed MOT.
Despite the fail, the car starts and drives well. Bodywork and interior are in good condition for the year and mileage. Had all new tyres a year ago.
Reasons for MOT failure:
Suspension arm ball joint excessively worn (nearside front, lower arm)
Anti-roll bar linkage ball joint excessively worn (offside front)
Coil spring fractured (offside rear)
Exhaust system insecure (nearside rear)
Tyre cut in excess of legal limit (offside rear)
Service brake lagging (offside front)
Headlamp aim and intensity incorrect (both sides)
Insufficient windscreen washer pressure (offside front)
Advisories also noted for corrosion (brake hose ferrules, underbody), ARB dust cover, exhaust joint condition, and smearing wipers. Full test certificate available on request.
Realistically a car for a trade buyer, mechanic, or DIY-er confident with suspension and exhaust work the list looks long but nothing here is engine or gearbox related, and none of it stopped the car driving safely to the test centre and back.
