Description
Dependable Fiat 500, owned by me for the large majority of its life and now being sold because I have purchased another car.
It has had only two owners and comes with two keys and has been serviced regularly. It was last serviced on 3 March 2025 and is due its next routine service.
A replacement clutch was fitted at approximately 90,000 miles.
A new battery has also recently been installed, and the stop-start system functions correctly.
The car passed its latest MOT at 97,846 miles and is tested until 16 March 2027. The same trusted local mechanic has serviced and MOT-tested it for many years. Knowing that I intended to sell, I asked him to give me an honest assessment of its condition so that I could present it accurately to potential buyers.
The car has been dependable and drives well, although it is cosmetically imperfect. The driver's seat is stained and well used, with some worn stitching. There is a cigarette burn on one door trim from the previous owner, wear around the door frame, stone chips to the bonnet and bodywork, minor paint damage and rust marks along the door edges, and some cracking to the bumper paint. Please refer to the photographs provided.
The latest MOT recorded faded front headlamp lenses as a minor defect. Advisories noted a non-working high-level brake light, slight fraying to the offside front seat belt, slight play in one front suspension ball joint, light misting from one front shock absorber, cracking to both rear tyres, corrosion around the front inner wheel-arch/chassis-leg areas, and corrosion to the rear subframe. The MOT recorded that structural rigidity was not significantly reduced and that the subframe was not seriously weakened. The deteriorated registration plate noted at the MOT has since been replaced.
The original radio/CD player works, but the CD-eject mechanism is faulty. Replacement units are readily available.
This is an honest, usable car with good maintenance history, a long MOT, replacement clutch and new battery. Its age-related cosmetic wear and MOT advisories have been taken into account in the price.
Viewings and independent inspections are welcome. Test drives are available on our private land or on the road with proof of insurance.
