Description
Owned by me since approximately 7,000 miles, with much of the mileage accumulated through motorway driving. Currently on 113,239 miles with MOT until 5 January 2027.
The car runs and drives well and has recently had the wet timing belt replaced and a service. It also has four nearly new tyres with less than 500 miles on them, with the invoice available from Protyres Abingdon. The catalytic converter was replaced last year.
Servicing has been carried out roughly yearly throughout my ownership through a mixture of garages and an experienced ex-mechanic, so the documented service history is partial. I don't have paperwork for the recent wet belt replacement, service or catalytic converter.
Two keys included. There are currently no engine warning lights.
Being a 2012 car with 113k miles, it has age-related cosmetic wear. There are scratches and scuffs around the bodywork, including more noticeable marks to the front and rear bumpers, wear/kerbing to the alloy wheels, and a small crack to one rear light lens. One wheel bolt was damaged during previous work and requires removal/replacement by a garage. Photos show the condition and damage.
The central touchscreen is cracked and the touch function doesn't work. The display and radio still work, and the radio can largely be controlled using the steering-wheel controls.
There is also an intermittent issue I want to be completely transparent about: on particularly hot days, the engine has occasionally cut out while idling. It restarts afterwards and otherwise drives normally. It has been looked over by an experienced ex-mechanic but no obvious cause was identified.
The January 2026 MOT passed with one advisory for a front brake disc being worn, but not excessively.
Overall, a well-used 208 that I've owned for almost its entire life, with recent expenditure on the wet belt, servicing and tyres. Priced to reflect its age, mileage, cosmetic condition and the faults described above.
