Description

2002 Honda CR-V 2.0 petrol manual, showing 144,358 miles, with MOT until 16 May 2027. I have owned this CR-V for approximately four to five years and am only selling because another car is arriving shortly. It has been a dependable and extremely practical car, always starting and never leaving me stranded during my ownership. It is a genuine 23-year-old vehicle, not a pristine restoration, but the bodywork presents very well for its age. I previously worked as a vehicle detailer and have looked after the paintwork accordingly. There are normal age-related marks and signs of use, but it is considerably smarter than many CR-Vs of this age. The interior is also very clean, with the usual minor wear expected at this mileage. The engine starts readily and runs smoothly, the manual gearbox selects cleanly, and everything inside the car works. It retains the original removable Honda picnic table in the boot. Maintenance has included: Recent catalytic converter, exhaust section and rear back box, following which it passed the emissions retest Gearbox oil changed last year Rear differential oil changed last year Regular engine oil changes, generally twice yearly despite only covering around 5,000 miles most years CV boots and various suspension components replaced when required Previous brake-pipe work Tyres replaced a couple of years ago Service and maintenance file containing receipts and paperwork It is fitted with a tow bar, front A-bar, side steps and a subtle suspension lift. Please note that the tow bar is sound but has some surface corrosion. Also supplied with a large collection of unused steering and suspension components, originally purchased for a planned overhaul: Two front lower control arms Two suspension ball joints Two inner tie rods or rack ends Two outer tie rod ends Front and rear anti-roll bar links Anti-roll bar bushes Various control-arm bushes These were bought for a planned suspension refresh that I never found time to complete. This is best suited to someone who appreciates older Hondas, wants a practical 4WD for carrying equipment, camping or road trips, or has the mechanical ability to work through the included parts. A clean, presentable and useful car with a long MOT and a considerable amount of maintenance behind it. Viewings and inspections are welcome. Test drives only with proof of insurance and a driving licence. Private sale. No swaps. Sensible offers are welcome after viewing.
