Description
I'm selling my BMW X5 3.0 diesel as I've recently purchased a vehicle for my company, so unfortunately I no longer have much use for it.
It's a 2005 X5 with six former keepers and has been in my ownership for the last 18 months. It has the 3.0 diesel engine, five seats, black leather interior, original BMW audio system and on-board computer.
During my ownership I've genuinely not skimped on maintenance. The car has been regularly serviced by a local mechanic in Windsor, with the engine oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter and pollen filter all changed as required.
I've also had a full gearbox oil change carried out, costing over 400 alone, along with new bushes front and rear. The suspension arms were replaced around a year ago due to wear, including all four door handle mechanisms, so quite a lot of the usual X5 wear-and-tear items have already been taken care of.
The car drives really well and pulls incredibly strongly. I suspect it may have been remapped at some point before I owned it, as the torque and power are very impressive. It has excellent road manners and is still a genuinely enjoyable car to drive.
I do want to be completely upfront about one thing: the front discs could do with replacing, as there is a judder under braking. I'd rather be honest about this and let the next owner decide how they want to deal with it rather than spend money on it myself before selling.
It starts well from cold, drives well and has been a very good car for me over the last 18 months. I've spent a fair amount keeping it maintained because I wanted to look after it properly. There is some rear bumper paint removed as someone very kindly hit both sides and didn't inform, this is cosmetic, no damage to the bumper, just paintwork and it is minimal honestly.
Selling only because I've bought another vehicle for my business and no longer need the X5.
Genuine private sale - viewing and inspection welcome.
The car is booked for a MOT on 19th August, the previous expired last week, any issues will be notified to interested parties, however I do not expect any surprises.
Please feel free to ask any questions. Serious buyers are welcome to come and see it and take a proper look for themselves.
