Description
I have decided to sell what is probably one of the best A4 Cabriolet's available. It has only covered 25,900 miles from new with an MOT until 25/05/2027. I bought it as a long term keeper for European tours, but as it turns out, I just don't use it. The 1.8 turbo engine, many think, is the best engine for this car. Port injected, not the troublesome direct injection of the bigger engined and later cars. It gives a good economy as well.
I am the second owner of this car. Prior to me, it had been owned by one couple who covered only 22,900 miles from new until I purchased it 3 years ago. It has been garaged all it's life until a month ago when I purchased two other cars. I now have it under a carport with a car cover over it.
Since my ownership it has had a new cam belt and water pump, air con condenser (as precaution) and re-gas and new aux belt. The power steering fluid and cooling fluid were also changed, all at 24921 miles. Recently the engine oil and filter were changed and the air filter and cabin filter were renewed. New rear brake pads were fitted.
When I first bought the car I changed the 18inch S-line wheels for standard 16 inch wheels. I prefer a little bit more rubber between the wheel and the road. I had the 5 wheels blasted and powder coated and new tyres fitted, as can be seen in the photos. I have the original S line wheels with tyres that will come in the sale.
The body is finished in silver/grey/blue metallic with contrasting black S Line sports leather interior which is in fabulous condition. It also has the wind deflector which goes behind the front seats. It is like new as is the bag that it goes in. If you didn't know, the hood storage that is in the roof of the boot folds up to provide more boot space when the hood is up (as seen in the photos).
The car was bought new in May 2007 (I have the original bill of sale) Full service history in the book is as follows.
6724, 11394, 14629, 16852, 18488, 20948, 21192, 22116, 24921, 25863 miles, (one of the reasons I bought the car in the first place, serviced by time not miles).
Why buy a newer more troublesome car? Emission regulations have generally made more more modern cars less reliable.
