Description

Kona, full electric, in Ultimate spec. Owned since June 2025 and covered 17000 faultless miles in that period. Just had it's third birthday, so sold with full 12-month MOT (From Aug 18th 2026). Had a full service at the main dealer 5 weeks ago. It was the expensive service too (coolant changed). Still under warranty (Main dealer performed warranty work just last week). Recent battery health check. Brand new windscreen a month back rather than repair a chip. Fabulous range - expect 300 miles in summer (4.5miles per kWh). Less in winter (all EV's suffer an efficiency drop when the temperatures plummet), but still excellent. Home charged at 7.2kWhr to max 90% of capacity for every re-charge since we had it. The Ultimate spec is well-loaded _ see Autotrader's automatically generated specifications list for full details..... It is impressive! This car is an absolute breeze to drive. I have been very impressed with Hyundai. EV tariff just renewed after the previous annual contract ran out is 8.5p per kWh between midnight and 5 am. 36kW of power every day for just 3.06! 36kW gives about 150 miles in summer, THAT IS 2p per mile! We have never driven so many miles in any car in one year as this one. Cost of those 17000 miles ? Just 340 quid, incredible! Selling as the car is owned by my parents who have now reached a stage in life where they no longer drive, nor want to be driven. A really great car for someone. Full explanation of history (with photos and receipts), and full details of what I've learnt about EV cars since driving this given to anyone who might need them. EV's are a no-brainer for anyone with home charging on an EV tariff, OR access to free or cheap charging. So easy to drive compared to conventionally fuelled cars. Sensibly priced due to it's category N (non-structural damage according to insurers' technical assessment).
