Porsche Cayman 2.9 987 PDK – 50,397 miles The previous owner enjoyed this Cayman enough to buy a newer Cayman S from us. That is probably the best introduction we can give it. It has clearly been enthusiast-owned, with a strong Porsche history, a very good specification and the sort of condition you hope to find when a car has been cared for by someone who genuinely appreciates what they own. The 987 has aged exceptionally well. Compact, low and properly mid-engined, it still has the balance and driving position that made the Cayman such a great Porsche in the first place. The 2.9-litre flat-six does not need huge power to make it entertaining, and the PDK suits the car brilliantly. This particular interior is one of the reasons we liked it. The extended leather dashboard and door panels, leather around the PDK selector and leather-wrapped steering wheel give the cabin a much richer feel, while the perforated black leather seats, heated seats and BOSE sound system keep it comfortable without losing the simple, driver-focused character of the 987. The history is excellent too, combining Porsche main dealer servicing with respected specialists including Strasse, Powerstratt and Zeign Porsche. A major service in 2025 cost almost £2,500, including spark plugs, filters, auxiliary belt, rear discs and pads, rear coil springs and exhaust clamps. We will also carry out our own service and preparation before sale. It sits on Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 tyres at the front and Pirelli P Zero at the rear, with the brakes in good condition. There are a few age-related marks, as you would expect from a 15-year-old Porsche, but nothing that detracts from the overall presentation. More importantly, it has the feel of a car that has been properly looked after throughout its life. The specification includes PDK, heated seats, Cayman S II alloy wheels, rear ParkAssist, BOSE, infotainment package, windscreen top tint and Porsche floor mats, alongside the extended leather interior.
