Description
Land Rover Defender 90 D250 X-Dynamic HSE – 26,611 miles
The story behind this Defender is what made us choose it. Just two owners from new, Land Rover main dealer history throughout and a previous owner who enjoyed it enough to replace it with a full Urban special edition. He has not moved away from Defenders; he simply decided to take his next one further. That leaves us with a very smart, privately owned 90 that has clearly been cared for rather than worked hard.
Finished in Santorini Black, the shorter 90 body looks particularly good. It has presence without needing any aftermarket additions, and the specification is exactly what we would want on one.
The X-Dynamic HSE interior is where this car really separates itself. Heated and cooled front seats, memory seats, heated steering wheel, Meridian sound, adaptive cruise, blind spot assist, Apple CarPlay and a digital dash make it a genuinely luxurious place to spend time. The tilt-and-slide panoramic roof is especially good in the 90, opening up the cabin and making the shorter body feel much more spacious.
It also has air suspension, Wade Sensing and the under-view camera, giving it considerably more capability than most people will ever need. The electrically deployable towbar is part of the factory towing package and appears barely, if ever, to have been used — exactly how we like to find them.
The history is reassuringly simple. Land Rover main dealer records include the PDI, 2023 maintenance and a further oil service in February 2026. We have since carried out our own inspection, pollen filter, air filter and wipers.
The Pirelli Scorpion Zero tyres are fitted all round and the brakes show very little use. The interior is equally well kept, with the seat bolsters in particularly good order.
On the road, the D250 is smooth and effortless, while the air suspension gives it the settled, expensive feel that suits this specification perfectly.
