Description
This is one of those Defenders where the specification, colour and history all come together properly. Pangea Green outside, matching dark green leather inside, dark oak trim, seven seats, air suspension and just two owners from new. It is a very considered Defender.
The Pangea Green and dark green interior combination is the standout. The exterior has all the presence you expect from a Defender, but opening the door reveals something much more sophisticated. The matching leather and dark oak trim give the cabin a warm, expensive feel and make this example considerably more interesting than the usual black-on-black Defender.
Then there is the specification. Seven seats, heated and cooled front seats, heated second and third-row seats, heated steering wheel, memory seats, Meridian surround sound, adaptive cruise control, air suspension, panoramic roof, wireless Apple CarPlay, timed climate, blind spot assist and a 360-degree camera with under-view camera and 3D modelling. It has been specified for the people actually travelling in it, not just the driver.
The seven-seat layout is particularly good. The rear seats are simple to use rather than being over-engineered, while the heated second and third rows and rear climate control mean passengers have not been forgotten.
It also has the factory trailer package with an electrically deployable towbar that appears unused. You get the capability without finding a Defender that looks like it has spent its life towing.
The P300 petrol works very well here. Smooth, quiet and responsive, it has enough performance to make the 110 feel effortless without ever feeling strained. Combined with air suspension, it gives the Defender a genuinely refined feel on the road.
The history is equally reassuring. Two owners from new, with Land Rover main dealer records throughout, followed by our own fresh service and preparation including oil, pollen filter, brake fluid, wipers and air filter.
It sits on Pirelli Scorpion Zero tyres all round, with healthy brakes and a beautifully presented interior.
