Selling after five fun years of ownership. I was working for Lotus at Hethel and had to have an Elise while there. I sold an M3 and ventured up to Dumfries to view this one and knew very quickly I was going to buy it. The previous owner is an enthusiast, engineer and very meticulous in maintaining and looking after his cars. I took it straight into the workshops at the factory and had the Lotus technicians have a good look under and around it and they confirmed it to be a good one. I keep it garaged and run it only on Shell V-Power. I'm selling to change into a 911 or bonkers Impreza. 1998 R plate in Calypso red. 84,914 miles. Full history with lots of invoices from Lotus centres and specialists. Fresh oil and filter service and MOT. Head gasket, water pump and timing belt done at 78500 miles. New S2 Elise Bilstein suspension (83k ish). Lots of replacement and upgraded parts with receipts over the 28 years since it left Norfolk. Paintwork is mostly in very good condition. Some small marks and stone chips on the nose. Sills have had a repaint at some point in the past but are a good colour match and largely stone chip free. The black roof, rails and bag are in good condition. Wheels have had a recent refurbishment and the Yokohama Neova AD08 RS tyres have lots of tread left. Seats re-trimmed in genuine Lotus red tartan and black ('liberated' from the factory stores). I have enough material left over to trim the door cards and sill bolsters. Interior is clean with everything working. Drivers sill cover/bolster is worn but not excessively.
