This Jaguar 420 was built in December 1966 and was originally Cream in colour. I do not know when and have no documentation relating to its respray to its current navy paintwork. The Jaguar has been in my family for the last 30 years. It has been stood and unused for the last 6 years and therefore has undergone extensive work totalling over 5K to bring it back to its current road worthy condition. This has included a total overhaul of the fuel system installing 2 new fuel tanks, filters, fuel pumps, carb overhaul etc. In addition it has had new Alternator, ignition leads, distributor cap and arm, spark plugs, clutch and other parts replaced/repaired. The full invoice is included in photos. All this work was carried out by Auto Lass workshops and videos of its time in the garage have been uploaded to their Facebook channel. They can also be contacted to verify the Jaguars overall condition including its "solid" undercarriage. According to the Heritage Certificate the Jaguar was manufactured in December 1966 and dispatched to Henly's in Manchester in December of the same year. The paintwork and exterior chrome are in good condition overall however there is a small amount of bubbling and marks as shown on the photos. The interior of the car is in clean and tidy condition although wear and tear is as expected for a 60 year old car. Fitted with the iconic Jaguar 4.2 litre 6-cylinder engine, it starts first time and runs smoothly. The current mileage displayed on the odometer is 1787 however the odometer was replaced sometime in 1993 with the old one displaying 70514 miles. The sale includes the original Jaguar handbook, a Haynes maintenance manual and an Haynes restoration manual. Also present are invoices, MOT certificates and the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate confirming the details of the car. The current V5 indicates 3 former keepers since 1994. The registration mark 3600 LG is a non transferable plate.
