Engine light came on two months ago and started run slightly rough so had it booked in as knew this would be an mot failure which took 6 weeks due to finding someone local who would look at it with it being an aston v12 and diagnosed as misfire cylinder 9 and catalyst bank1 issue as lamda sensor codes on. Garage without going any further said 8 to 12 hour job to remove inlets to access spark plugs. They adivised due to age more than likely need x12 coil packs which genuine £140 each and then x3 packs of 4 spark plugs which is £120 each then numerous gaskets for inlets and and oil seperator in middle of v with pipes while stripped. That was £4k ish as an estimate So cutting losses as its another 5 or six weeks before they can do it then mot hence price for someone who has the time and money as I've got family commitments going on so haven't the spare money to put it right.
