Unicorn of an R53. Owned last 6 years and put though an extensive recommission. Supercharger inspection and oil change water pump at 1110,00 miles. O ringing replaced around the engine, dry as a bone. New oil cooler and gaskets. New header tank and cap, Coolant flush. Gearbox service BMW oil. New Bmw petrol tank straps. R56 front brake upgrade with braided hoses, new discs and pads Brake fluid flush. New drop links and lower arm bushes. Milian cat back exhaust with resonators. Only non standard part on car. 125,000, recon power steering pump and brand new BMW hoses. New quailty battery. 130,000, Cam chain, guides and tensioner MAR motorsports. Koni standard height active adaptive shocks all round on standard ride height monroe springs (More comfort but still pin sharp.) New driveshafts, inner and outer ball joints, New inner and outer tie rods. New monroe top mounts. New flexi hose infont of cataylytic converter welded in by power flow technician. Has had some paint due to the usual lacquer peel on chilli red cars, Done to a high standard. Looks and drives amazing. In my ownership serviced every 5k only using castrol edge 5w30 BMW LL1 and high quality filters every service. My forever car. Only selling due to loss of licence on medical grounds. Its not perfect but it isn't far off! Under sealed twice in my ownership with lanoguard. Clean Mot. Last serviced 1000k miles ago. Not been ragged so drives like a car half its age and mileage. Genuine very well loved example. Would like an enthusiast to take over guardianship of this appreciating classic.
