EXTERIOR This rare Scala presents really well and benefited from a full repaint 12 years ago. There is no corrosion to any of the panels with only a few small stone chips and imperfections to report on closer inspection. All the windows retain their original Volkswagen etched stamps, including the windscreen. The original dealer sticker is also present on the rear window. INTERIOR The light-coloured cloth seatspresent well, the only defect to report being a small repair to the driver's bolster. The dashboard and centre console are also in good order with only a few discreet cracks atop the dash worthy of note. All the carpets are immaculate and protected by a nice periodset of overmats, and the headlining is clean and sag-free with only a little discolouration to the sunroof fabric. The boot area is also very tidy with a perfect rear parcel shelf, stain-free carpet, all the original tools, and spare wheel. ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION Lifting the bonnet reveals an extremely clean engine bay with no signs of corrosion to the inner wings, scuttle, or slam panel. The engine benefited from a full service at 91,984 miles and runs well, providing smooth performance through the automatic gearbox. WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES All of the alloys were refurbished a couple of years ago with the correct diamond cut finishand all present extremely well with only a couple of minor imperfections; they are allshod in a recently purchased set of tyres. HISTORY FILE The last service was full and also included a rear brake overhaul and four new tyres. There are lots of further invoices detailing maintenance, repairs, and a full respray in 2013.
