Description

2005 Land Rover Defender 110 XS TD5 Station Wagon, approximately 140,000 miles, with working air conditioning, extensive touring equipment and significant recent mechanical maintenance. This is my daily driver. The XS specification, working air conditioning, refurbished front seats and extensive practical upgrades make it a very usable Defender for touring, overlanding, rural use or winter driving. Recent maintenance includes: Cylinder head skimmed and new head gasket fitted Replacement radiator Upgraded Alisport High Oputput header core Replacement clutch fitted last year Replacement gearbox fitted a few years ago Replacement front wiper assembly New bump stops MOT completed in June 2026 The front seats have been reupholstered with new foam. The driver's seat has raised and extended runners, giving taller drivers considerably more legroom. Replacement XS heated-seat elements are fitted but are not currently connected. Selling as my wife doens't drive shift so we have a new car. This car has taken us through Austria, France, Italy, Guernsey, Scotland and back reliably for years. We love it, but we have a new truck so this one must go. Touring, recovery and protection equipment includes: Terrafirma winch and air-conditioning-compatible winch bumper Masai 4x4 snorkel Steering, differential and fuel-tank underbody protection Britpart split-charge dual-battery system Twin batteries with isolation switch Swing-away spare-wheel carrier with Hi-Lift jack mounting Aggressive mud and snow tyres Additional set of road tyres on wheels Upgraded dashboard and centre console Allisport high-output heater matrix Galvanised rear crossmember Thatcham-approved GPS vehicle tracking system This is an honestly described, 21-year-old working Defender rather than a restored show vehicle. There is corrosion on the bulkhead which will require attention in the future and is noted on the MOT but does not need adressing any time soon. The right-front wing has also sustained cosmetic damage following contact with a tree. Both are shown in the photographs and reflected in the asking price. The vehicle can be inspected and test-driven by appointment, can deliver to Maidenhead area or surrounding. Maintenance invoices and supporting paperwork are available where retained. Both sets of wheels and tyres are included. Sensible offers considered after viewing.
