2006 Manual 2.5L Diesel Navara D40 (this combination benefits from cheap, £140pa, car tax). Good solid truck that has served me well but now is massively under used so needs to go to a new home. The two main failure points on the D40 are snapped timing chains due to a bad design by Nissan and snapped chassis, this truck benefits from having an uprated duplex timing chain (fitted in 2021 about 20k miles ago) and the chassis was welded and strengthened in 2023. Good bits: - Cheap tax - Common failure points fixed (chassis and timing chain) - Aircon, Cruise control, rain sensing wipers, auto headlights, central locking, electric windows etc all work perfectly. - Upgraded head unit with working steering wheel controls and integrated aux jack/usb port (as shown in the pictures), also features bluetooth hands free and could very easily be upgraded again to a android auto/apple car play unit with minimal work. - 4x good quality tyres with low mileage and wear on them, 1x unfitted brand new spare tyre. - Bonnet stay has been upgraded to gas struts - Brand new battery - Long MOT The not so good bits: - Could do with a service - Some signs of corrosion on rear portion of chassis and tub - Drivers seat is warn but clean (shown in pictures) - Paintwork has seen better days in places - The engine has 2 oil sensors of which one is faulty meaning that the oil warning stays on for about 30 seconds after starting the truck I have owned her since 2019 and she has been a generally very reliable truck, I have documented all the work I have had done in my ownership. She is currently on 133611 miles but this is likely to go up slightly as she is still in use.
