We bought this new in 2009 so only one owner since then and currently under 38,000 miles. Everything mechanical and electrical works like new and it even has its original floor mats. For a few years, it was a third car so didn't see a lot of use hence the low annual mileages shown on the MOT history. It is time to move it on and get something more practical for life in the Scottish Highlands and more practical for our ageing joints. It had a full service in July and other than an advisory on a brake disc undoubtedly due to lack of use, it had no MOT issues. The car is generally in very good condition. It did have the usual MX5 issues and it has had a lot of work carried out. We had the sills and arches treated about five years ago and two years ago, we made the decision to renew the front and rear sub frames that the MOT picked up as slightly corroded. The alternative would have been to run it for a couple more years then part it out but it was just too good for that. There are recent new discs all round and the front calipers are both new. New tyres were put on about 2,000 miles ago. Cosmetically, the wheels have been refurbished. Its only issue is that the rear arch edges are showing a touch of rust again but that will be easily fixable by the right person. Other than that, the bodywork and interior are immaculate as the photos show. With the low annual mileages it was doing, we didn't have it serviced annually and it was done every two years at MOT time. We used the guide price from Autotrader and looked at what other similar cars are going for and adjusted down by about fifteen hundred pounds to allow for work that someone might want to do to the arches.
