Finding an E38 in truly original condition is becoming increasingly difficult. With just 41,700 genuine miles, this 735i V8 remains remarkably close to its factory specification and represents a rare opportunity to own one of BMW's finest luxury saloons.
The car was cherished by the same owner for over 20 years (2003-2024) before I purchased it. Since then, I've continued caring for it with the same philosophykeeping it original, mechanically correct and regularly driven. It has always been dry-garaged and never left standing for long periods.
One of the main reasons I bought this car was its exceptional history. It has been regularly serviced throughout its life and, remarkably, has never received a single MOT advisorysomething almost unheard of for a car of this age.
The V8 starts instantly, runs beautifully and drives exactly as a low-mileage E38 should. Every switch, button and electrical feature works exactly as BMW intended.
Ordered new with the Business Package and upgraded leather upholstery, the elegant specification perfectly complements the timeless factory colour combination.
The only point worth mentioning is the headlining, which has started to saga common age-related issue on E38s. Apart from this, the car is exceptionally well preserved and presents beautifully throughout.
This is not a restored or over-detailed example hiding its past. It is an honest, highly original E38 that has benefited from careful enthusiast ownership throughout its life.
The only reason for selling is that my work is taking me to mainland Europe, where a right-hand-drive car is no longer practical.
If you're looking for an exceptionally original, low-mileage E38 with outstanding provenance, I believe this is one of the finest examples currently available.
